A long day trip of about 10–12 hours with an early morning start.

Time-wise Itinerary

03:30 AM — Hotel Pickup & Departure
Cab/shared AC vehicle picks you up from your Port Blair hotel. Early start is needed for convoy timing.

04:30 AM — Arrive at Jirkatang Check Post
Join the queue for the morning convoy. Tea/coffee and snacks available.

06:00 AM — Convoy Through Jarawa Reserve
Strict rules apply:
– No stopping
– No photography
– No interaction with the tribe

07:30 AM — Reach Middle Strait Jetty
Board the Government Vehicle Ferry for a 15-minute crossing.

07:45 AM — Arrive at Baratang (Nilambur) Jetty
Proceed directly to the speedboat counter.

08:30 AM — Speedboat Ride to Limestone Caves
A 20–30 minute ride through narrow mangrove creeks.

09:00 AM — Short Trek to the Caves
Easy 1.2 km forest/village trek. Wear comfortable shoes.

09:30 AM — Explore Limestone Caves
View natural stalactite–stalagmite formations. Carry a small torch.

10:30 AM — Return to Baratang Jetty
Walk back and return by speedboat.

11:00 AM — Optional Visit: Mud Volcano
